Helpful to Business

Business managers and owners use a number of different tools to determine how well the business is performing. The business dashboard is one of these tools that provide a snapshot of most of the important numbers needed to conduct effective business analysis.
Dashboards can be used in all levels of business management but are typically most important to higher level managers who need a quick glimpse at how the company is performing.

Big Data Interpretation

This image shows how huge data is sorted and displayed in the form of graphs and charts by dashboard.

Better information and leads to better business decision. Every company deals with hundreds of transactions every day leading to accumulation of huge data. To keep check on company’s performance keen study of this data is mandatory. However, it is not possible for a company to interpret whole data so it is very important for a company to consider what data to transform information.
Solution to this complex problem is Dashboard. Dashboard helps a company not only to transform relevant data and information but also in displaying the information in a user-friendly manner through graphs, images and various charts which make the interpretation of raw data much easier.

Dashboard in Business Intelligence

The dashboard in business intelligence is used as a data visualization tool which transforms data into information and displays the information in a user-friendly manner through graphs, images and various charts.

Dashboards help to arrange numbers, metrics and sometimes performance scorecards on a single screen. The purpose of a dashboard is to provide critical information to business users at a glance or in other words it works as a snapshot of how business is performing. The real power of the dashboard comes into play when a different graph can be layered over the same chart or graph.

What is a Dashboard?

A dashboard is an easy to read, graphical representation of the relationship between two or more variables. Dashboard is used to easily identify and indicate new pattern, trends and changes from the given statistics through different graphs and charts.

The dashboard is the output of an information system. The input is the data set (provided by teacher) and the process is the analysis which involves selecting what variables to compare.

Mission Statement

We are creating a dashboard to examine and analyze statistics related to different suppliers to identify which supplier is performing the best, months with high revenue, which unit is purchased the most and to view the top revenue generating items.
